@Ethancdavenport I know there have been/are LGBTQ-specific self defence training initiatives in some places, which unfortunately is obviously needed.
No idea about if it's the case in London though.
@b9AcE hard to do in the UK, I imagine. No guns and stringent weapons laws.
@Ethancdavenport Some forms of self defence of course doesn't require any equipment.
They're probably preferable in case the law-system later gets involved.
I recall one Stockholm-group trained Krav Maga.
In the USA, it can be different of course.
I recall one Oakland queer group going to problem-filled areas where they lived, as "armed feminist vigilantes" probably around 2011-12 or so.
@b9AcE there’s a ton of queer-focused self defense training groups, usually DSA adjacent.
There is no DSA in Sweden of course. ;-P
The name may be impossible for any group with similar ideas in Sweden, because the "Social Democrat" party is the probably longest/most frequent ruling party over the last (guestimating here...) 80 years or so and now are somewhere between (euro-)conservative and neo-liberal in policies.
I would claim they have not actually been Social Democrats for a many decades, but they stick to the name.
They used to be... at least divided. ;-) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinke_Bergegren (etc)
