Plug the pi in to an RF modulator, hook that up to a cute vintage TV (I'll be on the look out while I'm out this weekend, or I'll pick one up on Craigslist or eBay) and flip it on. It'll cycle through the onboard footage.
In an ideal world, I'd separate the videos by genre and make a genre selector knob that hooked up to the GPIO pins, or at least a skip button or a back button.
But I don't know if I'll have time for that alongside everything else. I'll at least get the basic functionality.
@ifixcoinops My goal is to go with a 10" or smaller black and white TV from pre-1970, or otherwise go with a portable TV of some sort.
My ideal TV for this would be a very early one, if I can find one that functions. Philco era.
Most of those don't even have coax in, and I'll need to get one of those adapters to convert coax to antenna screws.
It all depends on what I can find.
