When I was like 9 or 10 I saw Get Smart for the first time.

I might have been younger. I might have been 7.

But it was something I only saw in passing, at my great grandmother's house, on TV land. She was the only person I knew with TV land.

I spent a lot of time there, because she was the coolest person I knew. And every once in a while, we would watch Get Smart together.

I hadn't seen any James Bond or Austin Powers or anything yet. Agent 99 was my first spy.

Anyway, he drove a little ridiculous car, and he had a lot of little ridiculous gadgets.

Someone earlier today told me that the car I'm looking at buying looked like Maxwell's car, and yeah okay it kind of looks like a little british sports car from the 60s. Sure.

But then that same someone just started laughing really hard and wheezed "You are maxwell smart" between gulps of air and laughs.

I can't argue with that.

@ajroach42 the Nissan Figaro looks slightly like an Austin Healey Sprite.

This is not mere coincidence, Austin and Nissan worked together long before the 1980s co-operation of British Leyland and Honda...

@vfrmedia I thought the same thing when I saw a sprite the day we testdrove the figaro. It was weird and unexpected, just sitting in an antique store.
