Alright, let's play a game.
Boosts appreciated, the wider the reach, the more useful the responses.
Please suggest to me 1 - 5 channels on peertube, vemio, or youtube with under 1000 subscribers, that are producing interesting or worthwhile content.
Sketches and jokes! Video Essays! Concert films! You name it.
Show me your favorite works from small creators. I'm going to do a thing to highlight some of them.
In the spirit of this second missive:
David Tipton - Antique tube radio repair.
and Not Terrible Restorations by Dr. Beer - tool restoration
@ajroach42 Hmm, Tim Hunkin is only at 33k, he deserves at least another few million: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGrpLw1W3P1_BC4J-Hpytww
A little bigger, this Dutch guy Raphson does fun stuff with bikes:
Technics F.R - Tool restoration and some crafting
As it turns out, that's the only chan I subscribe to that is under a 1000 subscribers.
@ajroach42 This guy is a new Youtuber who does mystery and horror type stuff, but I think he's very good and will probably grow with time. Exposure on the fedi would be great for him!!
Thinkerthemer is composed of the duo/couple Amy and Maggie. They review board games and Amy focuses on the crunchy, thinky parts and Maggie focuses on the thematic parts. They have really good taste in games and the reviews are very entertaining.
They have 4.5k subs, so quite a bit bigger, but still not huge
Here you go: The #Call2PowerPodcast :
...as of now 363 Subscribers - I watch every episode!
@ajroach42 he is at almost 5k but his music work need a really better recognition and reach !
Eric Normand has a channel about functional programming (he started his podcast/youtube channel to help write his book on functional programming).
He has many podcasts going over famous papers (Turing Award papers in particular) in programming/computer science history and he is really interesting to listen to.
The ideas of the papers he covers are big, and it's almost a philosophy channel in the best way.
Sollace in Troubled Times: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyeoTOUl3bL1nL-DToqxWrw
Lolo De Puzlo:

Loads of nice hip hop kind of tunes, also some other genres, dont know why they dont get more exposure.
Also, our channel, on subjects around sustainable/regenerative activism, collective care, etc. although we don't yet have much content, that will change:
A social network for the 19A0s.
