analog video fun of the day: I'm playing back an interlaced dvd rip on a raspberry pi over composite... and I have to have my video player deinterlace the file, because I guess the rpi's composite output is after the framebuffer that can only do progressive scan

now I'm wondering if i have any devices that can actually playback interlaced content from a fileserver withough framebuffer nonsense... I think any computer is out. maybe the ps3, stalwart journeyman of formats, can offer something.

related: how many dvd special features from more obscure releases d'ya think have become lost media?

If u rip backups of your dvds/blurays/videocds/etc. pls consider saving a raw disc image for archival purposes. future media fans will thank you!
