You ever accidentally just stop doing something you enjoy? Like some circumstance prevents you from doing it temporarily and then you just realize one day you haven't done that thing in quite a while even though you could have been.
@kelbot@retro.social at the beginning of work from home I also thought I'd increase my guitar time, instead I ended up barely touching any of my guitars since mid 2020. : ( Something I hope to correct soon.
@LilFluff Oh ouch! Harsh
@kelbot@retro.social I had been looking forward to summer 2020, I'd picked up a used small travel guitar and when the majority of mumble College went on four day summer schedule i was going to stick to five day and take advantage of the nearly vacant floor to bring in that and my small portable amp and practice songs on my breaks. At home I have my regular guitar stuff right next to my work from home space, but at breaks I want away from there.
@kelbot yeah big mood.
@kelbot Drawing, reading books, and writing, though that's more because of my Internet addiction than any outside circumstance.

@kelbot Reading, going out to find cool bugs, singing, watching shows, (scared I’ll binge and do nothing else), playing video games (same reason)… writing lists of things I enjoy xD
@alice_swaggen Videogames is one that I do some but would like to do more. I like playing videogames but I always end up spending a lot more time tinkering with various computers and other things. Not necessarily bad but I'm not good at allocating more time to games.
@kelbot@retro.social back in 2016 I did the entire (then existing) Duolingo Esperanto tree, and was considering starting on Spanish or another language while reinforcing Esperanto elsewhere. Then early in 2017 a few lessons into a course on Lernu and continuing review on Duo I came down with something that laid me out for three weeks. There weeks ihad hardly any energy for anything. Duo and other language review and Habitica all were lost as habits. Didn't restart Duo until halfway into 2020.
